John Oliver calls for action against the FCC's plans to break net neutrality. Watch the insanely funny and at the same time very smart clip calling all internet users to comment on the FCC net neutrality ruling.
John Oliver had a great piece on the FCC Net Neutrality issue on his new show Last Week Tonight. He rips into the FCC's plans to break net neutrality allowing cable companies to charge companies for different data delivery speeds. This would make the internet a two class world, which would be a huge change of the nature of the net.
The reason the FCC is favoring to break net neutrality is the lobbying of the cable companies. John Oliver does a great job in explaining what is going on behind the scenes. His segment on the Net Neutrality is a must watch video for every internet user. The good thing is that is not only informative, but also extremely hilarious.
John Oliver was so far very successful motivating users to comment on the FCC site. On Monday the FCC still posted a Tweet that there are technical difficulties with their commenting system due to high traffic. There are so far over 45,000 comments on the paragraph that is related to net neutrality.
