When Demi Lovato went back to brunette after experimenting with nearly every color of the rainbow, we knew it was only a matter of time before the bold hues were back. After all, she’s been red, blue, pink and blonde, but that still leaves a few letters of the alphapet left to try. Wednesday, she checked another color off the list, showing off a dip-dyed violet look on her Instagram.
“Lavender/ silver ombre… I know I said I was gonna give my hair a break but… I #REALLYDONTCARE Lovato captioned the below photo of her new hairdo debut, which she followed up with the above makeup-free selfie showing off the full effect. In addition to her purple fade, the star continued to rock her partly-buzzed look, though she did add highlights throughout the top of her hair, which she demonstrated in another shot of her newly-dyed locks woven into a messy knot."
It appears Lovato might have been inspired by the color scheme for her upcoming world tour — after all, a promo shot she posted showed her with violet-tinged hair a few days before she dyed it. Nicole Richie was inspired to go purple after seeing an altered Instagram of herself with lavender locks, so it’s not so strange that Lovato could have tapped into similar inspiration reports People!
Whatever the reason we think she looks great it’s a fun twist for her upcoming tour. It is also fun seeing her without makeup she looks great.
