Is Danielle Bradbery truly annoyed with Luke Bryan, or is just bunch of fans spinning the story out of control?
According to Headline Planet’s Brian Cantor in “Danielle Bradbery Addresses Face During Luke Bryan’s CMT Performance,” Luke Bryan seemingly got a taste of his own medicine when the camera caught "The Voice" winner Danielle Bradberry gazing at his performance of "Play It Again" with a bored expression and a downturned mouth.
Meanwhile his friend Cole Swindell watches his friend and collaborator with a happy but little nervous expression.
In what some people may call a karmic turn, Bryan's look of boredom and confusion at Ariana Grande's performance at the iHeartRadio Awards last month seems to have found a new home.
Twitter exploded once the fans noticed the unhappy look, and the general public assumed she wasn’t happy with Bryan. Lots of comments and retweets focused on the fact she seemed to be peeved. User Yenabird feels this is "another reason I #girlcrush" on the performer."She looks like this when Luke Bryan performs."
But the now light brown-haired songstress may not agree with the negative press at all.
The Cypress, Texas native took to her Twitter to squash the chatter on the social media site and the media's gossip that she wasn't happy with the performance. Saying "I'm laughing at this face they caught me in during Luke Bryan's performance because I was singing along like nobody's business.."
What do you think? Is the rivalry there or just made up by fans the media?
While Danielle did not win a CMT award this year, she did debut the first television performance of "Young In America" during the awards show. The single was released in mid-May. After winning "The Voice" on June 18, 2013, Bradbery's debut album "Danielle Bradbery" dropped less than six months later on November 25.
As the youngest winner of the show at the age of 16, she has been backed by country powerhouse Blake Shelton, also her mentor on the reality show, and teen favorite Hunter Hayes. “Voice” fans are helping her career and standing behind the teenager.
Meanwhile, Luke Bryan's making a name for himself in country music as fans voted his duet with Lionel Richie, "Oh No/All Night Long," as the winner of 2014's CMT Performance of the Year. "I'm speechless," said the younger singer at the win. Heaping praise on Richie, he continued. "I cannot believe I've had the opportunity to hang with this guy. And the fact that I have won an award with you is just amazing buddy."
Richie was a little more subdued, saying "All I can say is if I'm having this much fun, let's do it again."
Sounds like the perfect end to a show, really. The House Party will be back next year.
