Singing sensation Miranda Lambert's album "Platinum" tops the Billboard 200 chart. Her album beat several others in the competition.
She is a country musician which means that Miranda Lambert has some of that Western and Southern twang in her accent somewhere. Her album is #1 in the Billboard 200 List. And she has gained victory over quite a few big ones such as Disney Studio’s soundtrack for Frozen.

Also 50 Cent’s album couldn’t hold the candle to Miranda’s efforts which bore fruit in the end. Her album is the fifth in a row and its title is “Platinum”. Over 180,000 CDs of the highly listenable album have been sold up until now. And it’s just been seven days since it appeared on the scene.
According to Billboard, "That sum is Lambert's best sales week yet, and the largest for an album from a female country artist since the week ending Dec. 30, 2012. That week, Taylor Swift's "Red" sold 241,000, nine weeks after it debuted at No. 1 with 1.2 million.
Lambert is only the 11th female country artist to top the Billboard 200, which became a regularly published list in 1956. (For perspective on that total of just 11 leading country ladies: More than 400 acts have tallied a No. 1 album.)"
Taylor Swift was the last country female artist to get her first No. 1 previous to Lambert. Swift topped the list for the first time on the chart on Nov. 29, 2008 when her album "Fearless" earned No. 1 position.
Frozen’s “Let It Go” was at the 2nd spot while Brantley Gilbert’s “Just As I Am” took the #3 slot. 52,000 copies of "Frozen" were sold in its 28th week on the chart while 2.9 million copies of Oscar-winning song "Let It Go" has been sold since its November release in US.
Others included 50 Cent whose rap number "Animal Ambition: An Untamed Desire to Win" clocked in at #4. And finally Coldplay’s “Ghost Stories” earned itself the fifth position. “Ghost Stories” was on top of the Billboard 200 list last week.
According to Reuters, "Rockers Led Zeppelin landed in the top 10 this week after releasing expanded versions of three of its first albums: "Led Zeppelin," "Led Zeppelin 2" and "Led Zeppelin 3." The records, which were originally released between 1969 and 1970, clocked in at No. 7, No. 9 and No. 10 respectively. The soundtrack to teen romance film "The Fault in Our Stars" debuted at No. 8."

"It's been a really wonderful experience being able to sing with her," said Carrie.
She said that her friend Miranda was a strong and tough woman and to be around such an inspiring individual was an automatic tonic. Carrie is also writing some new songs for her album which is to come in the future.
"Things are really, really shaping up really well," she said. "I'm really excited about it. At first I was really nervous - you just don't know where it's gonna go. And then when things start coming together, it's like, 'We got this!' [I'm] getting more confident and more excited."
She knows that an artist’s muse comes in the form of little glimpses of different things which light the spark of creativity. Her buddy and sidekick Miranda has made her bolder in her written lyrics. Such partners come once in a lifetime and are as good as gold.
