A Retina Display is Unlikely this time
Four years back, we all had been delighted to see Apple’s iPhone 4 with its crisp retina display and then the iPad 3 followed suit. 2012 brought us yet another retina sharpness in Macbook Pro and we were expecting to see this in every Macbook which followed but unfortunately this didn’t happen. A recent report has stated that the iMac is going to get a refresh next week but we are not so sure about a retina display on this one. The MacG report has pointed out that this refresh is going to be a modest bump in one of the specs and this has certainly given rest to all those previous rumors which suggested that the Apple desktop computer would be getting a retina display soon. We say that this is not going to happen for at least another few months.

OS X beta builds have alluded to Retina iMacs but we are thinking that a clock speed increase would be a safer bet now for this upcoming refresh. In fact it is suggested that the two variants of the current iMac are merely going to get a speed increase of 100 MHz. The reports have come in from a reliable source and we can surely say that the refresh is a truth.
Don’t lose hope yet because some reports are also suspecting that apple might also lower the price of the iMac. Though we wont be saving much from this price reduction but having a little faster processor and lowered price is going to make the refreshed iMac a better choice for sure.
