Today the United States plays against Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2014.

The US team had an awesome start into the World Cup 2014 with a win against Ghana. Clint Dempsey scored the first goal just after 30 seconds. Germany failed against Ghana yesterday only reaching a 2:2. Germany won against Portugal. Can the US team do the same thing? Can they stop Cristiano Ronaldo?

Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have recovered from the loss against Germany. He posted a Tweet yesterday showing him next to a carved melon in Manaus. See the Tweet below.

In an interview with FIFA, Clint Dempsey said that they do not specifically focus on Ronaldo and see Portugal as a whole team they have to prepare against. So the US is not worried that Cristiano Ronaldo will have a reason to take his shirt of today.

The US versus Portugal game starts at 6pm Eastern. The team line-ups have not been revealed yet. Will Juergen Klinsmann make changes to the team that won against Ghana. It is not likely.

Today's game is just another game in Group G. Everybody is waiting for the match United States against Germany. The US team is coached by famous German Juergen Klinsmann. He coached the German team at the last World Cup. Everybody is waiting for this duel.
