Looks like Billy Joel is a full fledge Good Samaritan. Billy Joel turned one woman's unfortunate stumble into a star studded rescue. The star encounter happened Monday when the musician rushed to her aid in a cross walk intersection.
According to the New York Post, Joel was riding his motorcycle through the village of East Hampton, New York, when he spotted the woman sprawled face down in the middle of the street. Instead of drive off like many where doing he stopped to render aide to the poor woman. Pedestrians were not even helping the woman. But of course Joel stopped to render aide risking being recognized and mobbed.
Joel hopped off his motorcycle to offer help, he gathered the woman's shopping bags from the road, staying by her side and ultimately helping the emergency responders move her to safety on a near bench.
Though there is no clear cause as to why the woman fell in the middle of the street, she appears mobile and alert in photos snapped at the scene.
Joel is just the latest celebrity to do a good deed in the streets. In 2012, Ryan Gosling stopped a British tourist from getting plowed down by a New York City taxi. Later that year, Patrick Dempsey freed a teen driver from a wrecked car. And in 2010, Jennifer Garner surprised a pair of stranded motorists with a fresh can of gas.
We are sure the unknown woman is very grateful to Joel but it is unknown if she thanked him or the EMS responders who helped. We hope she did. Joel is somewhat of a hero now reports Today.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
