The clothing was also seen with curiosity by the queen old dear. And among the list of actors and actresses she met with may be included: Lena Heady, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Conleth Hill and Rosie Leslie.
However, the queen of the Commonwealth countries did not choose to sit on the Iron Throne build of the daggers of the enemies. This provoked snide comments in cyberspace as people said that the queen was out of touch with the people she ruled over due to which Queen Elizabeth II had chosen not to sit on the throne.
THE QUEEN OF FREAKING ENGLAND JUST STOOD THERE STARING AT THE IRON THRONE AND DIDN'T SIT ON IT ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? pic.twitter.com/TOcmdRkXII— Ryan Broderick (@ryanpbroderick) June 24, 2014
Then there were other voices in the wilderness that supported the queen. They said that she was not a person to make a fool of her self by sitting on a fake throne.
She was after all the Queen of England and that station and caliber carried a certain responsibility with it. Queen Elizabeth II was not about to become the laughing stock of so many by foolishly sitting down on a throne that was made of weapons.
However, Game of Thrones team presented a miniature Iron Throne to Queen Elizabeth II. And the Queen accepted the miniature Iron Throne with a smile.
There are several other memorable places where the queen had been to. One of these is the London Olympics. She was there side by side with Daniel Craig (who plays the latest James Bond).
She has also appeared on the cover of Time magazine. That makes the queen a cover girl of sorts. And she has also been copied in art form by the late king of absurd pop art, Andy Warhol. In other words, the queen is quite a cultural icon who loves visiting various places.
She is not a homebody or a busybody. She is a right tourist and absolutely adores going around checking up on all sorts of stuff going on around her. So what if she didn’t sit on the Game of Thrones seat of honor. She is still an honorable monarch.
