"On Sunday, June 22, Andrew Stern, husband of Katie Cleary, committed suicide at a shooting range in the San Fernando Valley," a spokesperson for the family said in a statement to Us Weekly.
"Andrew and Katie had been in the midst of a very amicable separation and had remained on excellent terms. This is devastating news for us but we have been aware of Andrew's longtime struggle with depression." The law enforcement agencies also said that Stern was under immense stress over "marital problems."

The America's Next Top Model star was reported to have been involved with Leo at Cannes. However, Leo denied it. And now after Katie's husband’s suicide, several reports suggest that her cozy photos with Leo are the reason behind her husband's suicide.
However, Katie Cleary denies it. She said that "her husband's suicide over the weekend had nothing to do with photos that surfaced of her hanging with Leo DiCaprio and Adrian Grenier."
Katie Cleary and Andrew Stern got married in July 2010. However, just 8 months ago, the couple split. And Stern had filed for divorce in April. The couple had a discussion on the photos but these were a "non-issue," according to Katie's rep.
However, Stern's friends hold a different opinion on this matter. And they revealed that the pics really bothered Andrew. And they said that although Andrew filed for divorce because Katie was "humiliating him by globetrotting and hobnobbing with celebs," but he still loved Katie.
"Any rumors of any kind of extra-marital relationship are entirely fabricated and completely false," the family spokesperson said. And rep also said that Katie and Adrian are just friends. Cleary has never met Leo before the night at Gotha nightclub on May 19, when photos were taken. Her meeting with Leo "was fully for the purpose of potential collaboration for environmental and animal welfare issues."
It is also reported that Andrew Stern was facing financial issues too. Katie's rep and Andrew's friends revealed that he was suffering from depression over financial issues too. Whatever the cause of suicide, Andrew Stern is no more with us. Stern's public memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, in Venice, California.
