The rock star and Friends actress announced their respective wishes to get engaged soon and everybody is excited about their wedding which is a blip on the horizon.
They first met at a party thrown by Jennifer Aniston in L.A. in April. Their mutual friend Ed Sheeran introduced Cox to McDaid. Later on Ed Sheeran announced how they were living together.
"I'm not sure that it's public knowledge, so maybe I shouldn't have said anything – but, yes, they're already living together," the British singer said at that time. "Things are moving fast. He moved in and, judging by the last time I saw them, they couldn’t be happier."
But now things have progressed to the point where they just cannot do without each other or keep their hands off each other. So at such a juncture, marriage is the best option available.

They are like two peas in a pod. And Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid are both high as a kite. Their lives will hopefully be blissful in the future since they have such great chemistry and an even greater understanding.
Cox and McDaid had revealed snippets about their relationship before the media and the public previously. But nowhere was it said that they would be man and wife.
Now, however, they have made the choice to taste the bittersweet fruit of matrimony too. There is some magic in marriage after all, otherwise why would 95% of humanity decide to join their genes with a significant other in the end.
Courteney spoke of how her boyfriend and husband-to-be was completely on her side whether she was wrong or right. And he was like that throughout their relationship. Never, for even a single second, did he differ from her.
"He supports me in every way," Cox told US Weekly at the premiere of her directorial debut, Just Before I Go, at the SVA Theatre in NYC. "He supports me creatively. He really believed in the movie...and not just because he likes me, though I know that helps."

Meanwhile, McDaid has only this much to say about Cox: “She is the most completely confident person I’ve ever met.” He waxed poetic about her qualities. How she appreciated art and music were also discussed by McDaid.
"Courteney is the most completely confident person I've ever met—at everything "She gets music. She gets art. She gets the way a scene gets constructed, the way dialogue works. And she puts it all together in her mind and then explains it to the world and makes movies that make people laugh and cry, squirm and jump, all those things," McDaid added.
He is just crazy about her and feels that she makes the liveliest of movies that make the audience laugh and cry and really get excited. This is Courteney’s second marriage. She will be finalizing her separation from David Arquette soon.
