MakerBot Unleashes PrintShop iOS App for 3D Designing

The MakerBot PrintShop app is finally here. The free iOS-only tool has officially been announced by MakerBot and is the perfect option for those who want some assistance in the area of 3D printing and designing. The app is obviously for use along with the company’s expensive 3D printer and will turn you into a complete virtual designer.

The app is perfectly designed for those newcomers who have just started to explore the world of 3D printing and it will assist them with 3D designs by giving them three separate tools to pick from when thinking of new things to create. The usual 3D designing is difficult for the laymen to understand and the idea behind this app is to make things easier by providing a user friendly interface which helps with original work. And if that is not your thing then you can also have the option of selecting from a pre-built library of 3D objects that they can modify and save down to their own "Thingiverse Library."

"With the introduction of MakerBot PrintShop, we believe we have finally provided a piece of software that helps bring 3D printing to the masses. We have removed the obstacle of not knowing 3D design to be able to 3D print. MakerBot PrintShop takes that challenge out of the equation and makes 3D printing fun and easy, as well as accessible for all ages and skill levels," said MakerBot CEO Bre Pettis in a statement.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
