Best Buy just launched a Black Friday sale in the middle of summer. I am not a fan of this overuse of Black Friday, but anyway lets look at the deals.
The Best Buy Black Friday sale in July just launched. The 2-Day sale tries to leverage the extreme pull of the Black Friday phenomenon and bring it to the hot summer. I am not a fan of these Black Friday sales during the year. Black Friday sales only work during the month of November. Retailers should just focus on that month and make the most out of it.

So what is Best Buy offering in this ill conceived sale. Here are the Best Buy Black Friday in July deal highlights:
- Save $70 on Select iPads with Retina Display, Plus Free Shipping
- Save $200 on Panasonic 60" Class (59-1/2" Diag.) LED 1080p 120Hz Smart HDTV, Sale $999.99, Plus Free Shipping
- Save $15 on $100 iTunes Card, Plus Free Shipping
- Save $50 on Canon PowerShot A2500 16.0MP Camera, Sale $59.99, Free Shipping and Free Shutterfly Photo Book
As expected, these are just ok deals and not Black Friday worthy. For instance the Black Friday iPad deals of Black Friday 2013 included the iPad Air and iPad mini with free $100 gift card. The iPad 2 sold for $299.99.
