Apple is also working on a new MacBook will include a Retina Display that is approximately 12-inches diagonally
With all eyes on the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iOS 8, let’s not forget the next-generation Mac software, OS X Yosemite. Amidst all the hype created by the launch event which Apple has planned for September, we all need to be reminded that OS X Yosemite would come only a month after that in October. However, the OS X Yosemite Developer Previews would keep on coming out of Apple after every two weeks and according to what most of the people are thinking, the final Developer Preview is seeded on September 29th. The Yosemite is going to enter its final stages of being completed in early October and then would be ready for launch. This golden master build launch is expected to be somewhere close to October 10th. Tomorrow we are also going to get a look at a version of OS X Yosemite beta tomorrow which Apple is all set to launch.

Around this expected date, Apple is going to release the Yosemite free on the Mac App Store by the end of October. We are also expecting another event o take place because if Apple is in any position to follow the same sequence of events, then it is very likely that there will be a media event on which the company would shed some light on the details involving the Yosemite.
The media event for their fitness band is also scheduled in October so there is a slight possibility that the logistics of OS X Yosemite’s launch are going to be opened up during this keynote. This year seems to be nothing less than happening for the fruit company as they plan release after release for their never ending flow of newer products. If we move on to the Mac side, then we have a couple of next-generation Mac lines. At the moment, Apple is working on both a smaller MacBook with a high-resolution display and a new desktop computer, either an iMac or a standalone monitor, with a 4K resolution screen.
Going further into the details, the new MacBook is going to sport a Retina Display which will measure approximately 12-inches diagonally and to top it all up, the aluminum body will be thinner as well as lighter. With this new Retina MacBook, Apple is certainly taking things up a notch further in the laptop industry but at this moment as we write about this we are not so sure what Apple is going to label on their Retina MacBook. They can label this machine as a smaller MacBook Pro, a new MacBook Air, or as an entirely new line.
