New Edition is a 80s band and they are undergoing a reunion nowadays. 45-year-old Bobby Brown had to step off stage after he couldn’t keep up with the choreographed steps due to a malady he had.
And Brown also apologized to his fans in a statement. “I apologize to the fans of New Edition. I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition,” he said.
There were wagging tongues that said he had sunk into the miasma of addiction again. But his ex-wife Kim Ward, mother of his son Bobby Jr. and 23-year-old daughter La’Princia, said such was not the case at all.
She spoke of how it was not any detox problem but rather a serious health hazard he was facing (although she wouldn’t name what that health issue exactly was).
“It has nothing to do with him relapsing. It’s definitely about his health,” she insists. “It’s a serious health issue.”
According to news sources, Bobby did have a heart stent procedure in Atlanta, Georgia. Brown is currently happily married to his manager Alicia Etheridge.
He has been hooked on all sorts of drugs such as heroin, crack and cocaine in the past. Two years ago he was caught and charged with the offense of DUI.
Since then he began visits to rehab that ultimately weaned him off the hard drugs. Bobby Brown was the husband of Whitney Houston who gave in to her drug addiction demons and died a tragic death about a year ago.
Bobby Brown portrayed his chaotic and highly volatile marriage to Whitney in his reality TV program Being Bobby Brown. Bobby and Whitney had divorced each other about seven years ago.
He is now married to manager Alicia Etheredge. And while Bobby Brown seems to have thankfully exorcised his drug demons, his daughter from Whitney, Bobbi Kristina, 21, is having issues of her own at present.
She is wallowing in drugs. Her uncle has expressed extreme worry over her irresponsible attitude and wants to save her from the living hell of intoxication.
