Of all the people present, President Obama raised the point that he had always liked the performances of Katy Perry who was a wonderful person.
He also said that he was grateful to her for having taken out precious time from her busy schedule to attend the function. Obama also mentioned the fact that he had met Katy’s mother who was a great person like her talented and skilled daughter.
Among some of the other guests at the White House included the Black American singer, Stevie Wonder and tennis star Andy Roddick not to mention his model spouse Brooklyn Decker.
Katy has performed twice before for the president since she is a Liberal Democrat. But since her parents are Republicans, and they didn’t vote for Obama, she didn’t allow them to attend the previous functions.
But this time around her mom was there to see her daughter being regaled for her creative abilities. Katy admits that her parents wanted to attend the 2012 inauguration but she forbade them saying that it was a matter of consistency and principles.
Katy herself is a big fan of Obama and voted for him too. She didn’t like it when her parents didn’t cast their votes for the first Black President of the United States of America. She had been busy on her Prismatic World Tour and had to especially take time out to attend the White House function.
Katy is a hyper-creative and very innovative superstar. Her “Firework” and “I Kissed a Girl” music videos have gained worldwide fame. Obama even said at one point that he loved her for the wonderful person she was. Katy has definitely gotten many mileage points via the accolades heaped on her from Obama’s side.
