Sandra Bullock, who recently appeared in the film Gravity, is the most highly paid actress in Hollywood and she beats the rest in the money department hands down.
Her most recent movie went out on a limb to court disaster yet it emerged a winner. Gravity, starring the illustrious Sandra Bullock, just shows a woman floating in outer space for an hour and a half.
Despite the wondrous special effects, it was a risky venture since most audiences prefer the sort of fight scenes seen in movies such as the Transformers Series. But, believe it or not, Gravity grossed over $700 million.
And although Sandra didn’t receive an Oscar, she did earn oodles of cash thanks to her role in the movie as a stranded astronaut. And the movie had cost $100 million to make in the first place.
However, actresses generally earn less than actors in Tinsel Town. But in recent times the trends seem to have started to change.
Jennifer Lawrence of the Hunger Games is a fine example of an actress who through sheer grit and determination fought her way up the ladder to success and multimillion dollar status.
The money a screen siren takes home depends on several factors including agents, producers and other middle men. Take Jennifer Aniston who is worth a cool $32 million. Of course, she owes it all to her character Rachel on Friends.
With $19 million in total emoluments, Gwyneth Paltrow is next. Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Cameron Diaz are on a par with $18 million each.
But the Queen of Hollywood for 2014 is none other than Sandra Bullock who earns in excess of $51 million. And she looks to be and probably also feels like she is on top of the world with her gazillions of greenbacks.
It takes more than just talent to earn a lot. You have to have the right emotional quotient (EQ) which is a recent addition to intelligence quotient (IQ).
The ability to get along with others is just as important as your skills or general capabilities. And Sandra Bullock has both of these sterling qualities in scads.
