Friends starlet, Jennifer Aniston talked on senescence, fashion and her silky strands of hair.
Jennifer Aniston has a huge fan base. Her classic cool, happy-go-lucky, devil-may-care attitude makes it all seem so effortless. The way she dresses and her hair all appear to dovetail in a beautiful way.
Those who have seen her on screen are bedazzled by her charm and cute looks. 45-year-old beauty sat down for an interview recently for Yahoo! Beauty and soon enough put the interviewer, Bobbi Brown, at ease with her natural style and calm demeanor.
Jennifer spoke of how her fiancé Justin Theroux would react to her undergoing some cosmetic surgery. She also spoke of the inevitability of aging.
When the interviewer told Aniston that she was pretty impressed by her lack of self-consciousness, she replied that it could also be called sloth.
Such self-deprecation in an actress is a rare commodity. But the interviewer said that Jennifer was absolutely perfect in matters of behavior and in terms of her personality.
Jennifer then went on to appreciate the fact that a makeup artist of the caliber of Bobbi Brown was interviewing her. She wanted to get her makeup done by her.
But Bobbi countered by saying that she would probably not need any makeup at all. In response to this Jennifer said that you never know. Jennifer spoke on her T-shirts which she tailors herself.
And as for her blue jeans, she takes the pockets out of them. She expatiated on her hairstyle which was mostly better-looking when it had that mussed-up and tousled appearance.
She informed Bobbi Brown about her aging hair which was an unbelievable proposition. It had gotten thinner. Finally Bobbi Brown asked the ultimate question: why did Jennifer not look older?
Jennifer attributed her youthful looks to genetic inheritance, drinking tons of water, sparse usage of facial products and lots of restful sleep.
"My dad is 100 percent Greek; he turned 81 and he barely has a wrinkle. And neither does my grandmother, who was 95 when she died," said Aniston.
"But it’s also just water, drinking a lot of water, using really nice good products for your face. Don’t overproduct, that’s the other thing. Getting proper sleep is always important."
When she was asked about balancing her weight and eating bread, she said, "I usually give myself bread on the weekends, but really, my body doesn’t love carbs. These days, if I was being super picky, I would love to drop 5 pounds. That is just where I have always been really comfortable at about 110 to 113 pounds. But it is harder at this age."
She eats a balanced diet and cheats once in a while to remain sane. The paparazzi taking pics of your face and the wrinkles showing may be an issue with many but not with Jennifer. She ignores them.
"If they get a picture, that picture comes and goes, so who cares?"
The latest technologies that catered to the skin and body were so invasive that according to Jennifer her husband would kill her if she even went near any of them. She plans on aging gracefully and maintaining her youthful looks into the future. It was all about balance.
