While the rumors are rife, it seems that Portia de Rossi may not divorce Ellen DeGeneres after all.
The two have bought a luxury condo in Beverly Hills and seem to be happy as hippos in mud. The building the two purchased from their hard-earned money is a perfect location since it is right in the center of Hollywood.
“Ellen and Portia just purchased an entire floor of a luxury building in Beverly Hills,” a source confirms to RadarOnline.
“It is very centrally located, right in the heart of everything that they do in Hollywood. They still have the land and the space they love in Santa Barbara, but this spot offers the convenience that they need,” the source explained.
The services are vast and include staff that is at your disposal 24/7. A state-of-the-art gym and cool pool are among the other amenities the space affords. Also, the panoramic view from the spot is absolutely amazing.
Portia and Ellen have undoubtedly been going through a rough patch. Yet they love one another as is evident from the fact that this is their second big acquisition this year.
Previously, they bought and sold a piece of property in LA and made a profit of $10 million from the transaction. “It’s a good sign that they are going to stay together,” the source adds. “Ellen and Portia have always loved working on a home project together!”
Meanwhile, a revealing book about Ellen and Portia is about to come out in the market soon. And it lays bare the complex love-hate relationship between the two lesbians.
Randy Jernigan is the author of the book titled 'The Life and Career of Ellen DeGeneres.' And this book will reportedly unveil the “supposed drinking, alleged cheating and Ellen's reported requests to have an "open" relationship.”
For one thing, Ellen’s drunken and cheating behavior is shown for what it is: an attempt at trying to make Portia envious and keeping the marriage a sexually open proposition.
Ellen may be shouting down the rumors that it is “splitsville” between the two, but the cracks are beginning to show. According to the tell-all book Ellen wants to have Portia caged in her home and doesn’t even allow her to go out and socialize.
Jernigan talked to OK! Magazine (via Classicalite) for their Aug. 11 issue, that “Ellen and Portia's marriage has been tumultuous form the beginning. Ellen tries to keep Portia to herself...She's afraid of losing her to a younger woman, so she won't allow Portia much of a social life.”
“Ellen will sabotage her relationship with Portia be intentionally trying to make her jealous. Portia is very insecure and always accuses Ellen of hitting on women and cheating, leading to days of fighting. Sometimes Ellen won't come home for days at a time during their fights,” Jernigan explained the publication.
When the two fight, Ellen goes missing for days from their residence. “Portia doesn't want an open relationship...Ellen might just be playing games, but Portia is down about it.”
The marriage was a chaotic affair since day one. And were there to be a divorce between the two it would involve $220 million.
