He wanted to buy in trendy New York neighborhood but could not afford.

It happens to all of us at one point in our lives or another, well maybe not celebrities but their siblings sure run into it a lot…Financial Problems.

Bed-Stuy is the new Bushwick, it is the new East Williamsburg, and the new Williamsburg and East Village all rolled up into one New Trendy New York Neighborhood. Now even unknown brothers of beautifully tall Hollywood stars cannot seem to afford to live in this cool new neighborhood. Uma Thurman's brother is one such unfortunate sibling. Bed Stuy's too rich for his blood, so while his sister is off getting foot rubs from Quentin Tarantino, he is putting down roots in East Flatbush, a not so cool place to live. It makes you wonder why these celebrities leave their siblings and even parents out in the cold when it comes to financial issues.

Reported by the Post: they say that Mipam Thurman, the youngest of The Bride's three brothers, attempted to purchase a home in Bed-Stuy for a few years. But unfortunately, as one real estate agent noted last week, the neighborhood is "iron is hot" now, and Thurman did not strike fast enough. He was unfortunately outbid and lost a lot of deals," Thurman told a tabloid. "By the time I figured it out, I had been priced out of what I wanted."

So, though Bed-Stuy's $1million price tag would be but a mere pittance for David Mamet's daughter, Thurman was forced to contend with a $549,000 home in East Flatbush, described by the Post as the "Brooklyn hinterlands." Of course, with all this eastward "pioneering" going on these days, it is only a matter of time before Thurman is attending Community Board meetings with siblings like Monica Cruz, Johnny Drama and the Baldwin brothers that have all but been forgotten reports Gothamist News.
