ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has gone viral. Now our next Batman 'Ben Affleck' accepted Tyler Perry's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominated Jimmy Kimmel, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Damon, and his wife to take on the challenge.
Ben Affleck happily accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge given to him by Tyler Perry. And he not only completed the challenge but also announced that he would donate to The ALS Association that is working for a 'very worthy cause.'
42-year-old Ben Affleck, the next Batman, also nominated Jimmy Kimmel, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Damon, and his wife next to take the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The challenge is basically a self-perpetuating relay race where every participant gets to link a next one who will do the task after him or her. It started awhile back and by now it has begun to pick up momentum.
Among the list of celebrities that have participated in the ordeal of ice cold liquid may be included Justin Bieber and Iggy Azalea. Bieber even had the chutzpah to nominate President Obama to undergo the baptism by icy water.
The ice bucket challenge is basically an awareness raising campaign that collects funds for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
By having a container of cold-as-hell water poured on top of your head you are in a way identifying with sufferers of the incurable illness.
Iggy Azalea also undertook the formidable task and had mixed feelings about the whole shebang. She wore a neon orange-red swimsuit while getting inundated by the downpour of slushy sub-zero water.
Such challenges and tests are a feature that increases the level of awareness about various issues. Like the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge too has its rightful place in the causes worth donating money to as well as undertaking.
