Display screen delay and related problems in the Apple iPhone 6 has created new hurdles for the suppliers of the company.

The launch ceremony of Apple's next generation iPhone 6 has been delayed due to certain issues that have cropped up. The original date set up for it was sometime next month.

However, now all that will have to be changed since the screen supplies for the iPhone have been curtailed due to the shortage of a key component. This spanner in the works has the company heads worried sick.

It shouldn’t have occurred in the first place but now that it has, the execs are planning on hurrying up the healing process in “techno-facture”.

Less costly versions by opponent organizations have already dogged the footsteps of Apple Incorporated. And the fact that this device has to be ready for display on store shelves by the end of the year does not make matters any easier.

Slimmer screens are needed for the iPhone 6. The backlight that illuminated the front panel was problematical and so screen production had to be put on hold for awhile.

The complexity of the snag at hand had to be resolved with care and scrupulosity. Due to the hitches along the way, the supply chain was hindered in its operations.

However, according to sources the high tech firm is back in form and will now be concentrating on a speedy production with innovation and state-of-the-art equipment being used in the creation of this smart phone par excellence.

Apple is said to be scheduled for a media event on September 9. And its is expected that the Cupertino, California-based will announce both the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch versions of its next generation iPhone 6 smartphone during the event.

But the two of the Apple suppliers told the Reuters that "display panel production suffered a setback after the backlight that helps illuminate the screen had to be revised, putting screen assembly on hold for part of June and July."

In fact, one of the suppliers said "Apple, aiming for the thinnest phone possible, initially wanted to cut back to a single layer of backlight film, instead of the standard two layers, for the 4.7-inch screen, which went into mass production ahead of the 5.5-inch version."

"But the new configuration was not bright enough and the backlight was sent back to the drawing board to fit in the extra layer, costing precious time and temporarily idling some screen assembly operations," the source said.

Apple’s suppliers have a very symbiotic relationship with the giant conglomerate. The specific type, size, function and design that is required for a particular gadget is such a fine-tuned process that it has to be just right in its mechanics and timing.

Were something untoward to occur along the way (no matter how infinitesimally small) there could be problems and mistakes down the line. And that of course spells big trouble since so many dollars and capital investments are at stake here. Apple fulfills the requirements of billions of tech savvy individuals around the globe. Therefore, it has a reputation to keep up.
