And the 32-year-old pop diva now wants to tie the knot with the 28-year-old Lucado. And to marry her boyfriend, Britney needs to have her freedom back.
Actually a judge placed Britney Spears under the control of her father Jamie six years ago. But now she wants to end this diktat so that she can be free to take any decision of her life on her own.
A source close to Spears told RadarOnline that the singer “doesn’t understand why the conservatorship has lasted this long. She’s so sick of all the bodyguards. And she wants to escape from underneath her father’s thumb.”
The mother of two kids, 8-year-old Sean Preston and 7-year-old Jayden James, wants to take back the reins of control of her life. She wants to be free to marry her new boyfriend, David Lucado, with whom she might have a stronger relationship than her dad.
“Her relationship with David has never been stronger,” the insider said. “She also wants the conservatorship to end so she can be free to marry him.”
But it looks almost impossible for the twice-married singer to get her independence back completely. It is because her doctors still do not have full trust on her decision-making power.
“Even though Britney is doing very well, there are no plans to end the conservatorship anytime soon,” the insider explains. “Her doctors just don’t think she is ready to be on her own yet.”
But Britney Spears is still planning for a dream wedding. She wants to get married for the third time at the late Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee. Best of luck Britney for your future plans and wedding!
