The pop princess, Ariana Grande said that her leaked naked pics were fake samples.
Ariana Grande, along with several other celebs, has had her nude photos leaked online by a hacker of the highest order. The result is a lot of negative publicity and sex-shaming for these otherwise respectable VIPs.
However, many of them, Ariana being one of the most vocal among them, have denied that the indecent images have any reality behind them. The long list of celebs includes such illustrious names as:
- Jennifer Lawrence
- Lea Michele,
- Avril Lavigne,
- Hilary Duff,
- Selena Gomez,
- Vanessa Hudgens,
- Kate Upton,
- Kirsten Dunst
- Teresa Palmer
and not to mention many others.
Scads of nude photos of celebs appeared on 4chan which is a hub for images which are posted in a surreptitious manner. Nobody knows who put them there.
While many of the celebs have joined in the chorus along with Ariana and denied that the pics are real there are a few like Jennifer Lawrence who have confirmed that it’s the real deal.
Jennifer Lawrence's rep: "This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos."— Jennifer Lawrence (@JLdaily) August 31, 2014
Another actress Mary E. Winstead said that while her photos were real, she had deleted them from her account a long time ago. She also wrote that her heart went out to anyone who was facing such issues of a total breach of privacy and confidentiality.
To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves.— Mary E. Winstead (@M_E_Winstead) August 31, 2014
Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.— Mary E. Winstead (@M_E_Winstead) August 31, 2014
As for the hacker, he or she or whoever it is, has decided to make some money from these nude pictures. And the payment is supposed to in bitcoin currency which is the official online medium of exchange.
The price of publicity and fame is precisely this that your life and everything about it is put on display for the rest of the world to gaze at in wonderment.
Everything from where you had lunch to the sort of people you hang out with gets to be aired in public as so much dirty laundry.
And while the perks are high, from cash flow to limousine service, the downside is paparazzi at every corner and the risk of stalkers that is a constant possibility.
It is better to be ordinary people living ordinary lives rather than famous people ending up being infamous for their private idiosyncrasies.
