Joan Rivers had had a botched throat operation due to which she had stopped breathing for a while last week. She was rushed to an ICU and put on life support.

Joan began her career on The Tonight Show and she not only reached heights of success but was known for her biting wit with which she attacked anything or anyone she deemed hypocritical.
