One of the largest markets is missing out on the iPhone 6 release
China is one of the largest markets in the world for technology. It also happens to be a source of fake smart watches, something that might only increase now that Apple has left them out of the iPhone 6 release that is scheduled to happen on September 19.

Past phones have sometimes been released in China at the same time. The iPhone 5s, for example, was on sale at the same time, while the iPhone 5c was a large attempt to compete with the cheap phones that are available in China. Why is there no mention of the iPhone 6, then?
There are a couple of theories on this, including that the Chinese government is forcing manufacturers to use a new technology that isn’t currently in use. In any case, however, there has not been a permit issued for Apple to sell the phone. Many think that this is to intentionally hold the phone hostage and force companies to play nice with the system that the government wants in place, rather than the one that the tech companies would like.
Companies like Samsung have been proud of their growth in China, while many have thought that Apple was missing out on a massive opportunity. Depending on how you look at it, this could be a massive mistake or a large hurdle that Apple is going to have to overcome if they are going to reach the hundreds of millions of potential customers in the country.
