Action star Liam Neeson is still to young for The Expendables.

Action super star Liam Neeson revealed that he has not been asked by Sylvester Stallone to join the Expendables. How come? At 62 Liam Neeson is apparently not old enough for the Expendables. Liam Neeson revealed that little fun nugget in an interview with the Irish Independent. The actor is on promotion tour for his new movie titled A Walk Among the Tombstones.

Based on Lawrence Block’s bestselling series of mystery novels, A Walk among the Tombstones stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law.

When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker (Dan Stevens) hunt down the men who kidnapped and then brutally murdered his wife, he learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of crime and it will not be their last.

Blurring the lines between right and wrong, Scudder races to track the deviants through the backstreets of New York City before they kill again. This new Neeson movie is much darker than his run of the mill action movies from the past years. This is a welcome break from Taken 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Watch the trailer below.

A Walk Among the Tombstones will open in theaters this weekend.
