The former 'Ghost Whisperer' actress was moved by an interview she read about Damon's busy life, and the fact he felt he had no place he could call his own at the time. Although she admits she never met Damon in person, she still felt compelled to do something about his situation.
She explains, "Matt Damon and Ben Affleck had just blown up big time and so I knew who he was... and he said this really sad thing in the article about how all of his dreams were coming true in the business and he was working really hard but he didn't ever really feel... he had a bed of his own; he was just travelling so much."
"I remember being really busy also and thinking, 'That's so sad...' For some reason I thought an Aero-bed would help... In my head, I was like, 'Oh, he could travel with it and then it's always his bed. It's always his safe place...' I didn't go over it with anyone... but I didn't.
