Fans from both sides were all jittery. In fact it was alleged that some supporters had set flares off which delayed the match for about 20 minutes. A standoff between Wenger and Mourinho was experienced when Gary Cahill brought Alexis Sanchez down.
According to Guardian, hell almost broke loose when Wenger put his hands on the chest of Mourinho. The two were lucky not to face the wrath of Football Association. At the initial stages, it looked as if Arsenal would carry the day especially when Chelsea's goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois had to leave the field to an injury he suffered in the head.
Hazard tried to make his way past arsenal defenders but Laurent Koscielny seemed to be determined to stop him. In fact Laurent missed a red card by a whisker. In the final end, Hazard still managed to get up and took the ball behind Arsenal's net.
In the 78th minute, Arsenal got a taste of their own medicine when Cesc Fabregas got the ball and passed it to Costa who in return sent it to the net. Fabregas used to play for Arsenal so he probably knows their game plan.
Mourinho had earlier in February referred Wenger as a defeat expert. He is yet to apologize for his unkind remark. Arsenal were trying their best not to go home without a goal. Wilshere kept on insisting that Fabregas had touched the ball with his hands but his demands landed on deaf ears.
