Josh Hamilton Doesn't Look Ready for Playoffs

Josh Hamilton has assured his fans that he will be in the field during the upcoming American League series. According to LAtimes, the star has only played one game since he suffered right shoulder and chest injuries. On the other hand, his manager, Mike Scioscia does not agree with him.

When Mike was contacted last Saturday to confirm whether Josh will play during the playoffs first game on Thursday, he simply gave no as an answer. Josh and Mike are believed to have spent some time together ahead of their game on Saturday night with Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field.

Mike said that he had had a one-on-one conversation with Josh concerning his health. He further added that Josh is already aware of what he needs to work on before he can be allowed back into the field. Mike stated that the team had high hopes on Josh's health but would not let him play without first looking at his medical records.

Mike maintained that the team will only welcome him back into the game when they are sure that his runs and battings would not be painful. He argued that they are observing the player's training sessions keenly to see if he is up to the game.

Josh was spotted on Saturday doing some roadworks complimented with some dry swings. However, the star avoided batting and hitting the soft toss. Perhaps he will be able to exhibit some battings after he has fully recovered from his injuries. Any small mistake could send him back to square one and so it's important for him to be patient.

Fans have to keep their fingers crossed until Thursday morning when the team will release the division series roaster to confirm whether Josh will be playing. The star is expected to make a comeback during the instructional league games in Arizona. He also has another chance in Anaheim.
