Gone Girl beats Dracula Untold in Weekend Box Office

Ben Affleck's Gone Girl is still holding on to the #1 domestic box office.

David Fincher directed Gone Girl starring Ben Affleck is holding on to the top of the domestic box office. The newly released Dracula Untold opens at #1. In the international box office though the two switched places. Dracula Untold is the top movie in the worldwide box office.

According to Rentrak Gone Girl made #26.8m in the domestic box office and Dracula Untold made $23.4m.

The story of Gone Girl goes like this. On the occasion of his fifth wedding anniversary, Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) reports that his pretty wife, Amy (Rosamund Pike), has gone missing. Under pressure from the police and a growing media frenzy, Nick Dune portrait of a blissful union begins to crumble. Soon his lies, deceits and strange behavior have everyone asking the same dark question: Did Nick Dunne kill his wife?

Besides Ben Affleck the cast of Gone Girl include Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Carrie Coon, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens, Partick Fugit and Emily Ratajkowski. Watch the trailer below.

Dracula Untold goes back to the origin of Dracula. The movie is weaving vampire mythology with the true history of Prince Vlad the Impaler. Dracula Untold is depicting Dracula as a flawed hero in a tragic love story set in a dark age of magic and war.

Dracula Untold is directed by Gary Shore and stars Luke Evans, Dominic Cooper and Sarah Gadon. Watch the trailer below.
