The Museum of the Moving Image will honor Julianne Moore at its 29th annual Salute on January 20. Moore’s performances in Still Alice and Maps to the Stars are being lauded worldwide and she is a sure shoo-in to win an award for Best Actress in the next Oscars.
Julianne Moore has played amazing roles throughout her career. She has done all kinds of roles and supporting roles in movies and she is sure to be seen in one or two movies every year.
The actress is not afraid to experiment with the roles she plays. That is what sets her apart from the other stars of her generation. And her four Oscar nominations are evidence to that. It may finally be the year that she actually wins it for sure.
Julianne’s performance in her film, Still Alice where she plays the role of a woman who has been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Julianne’s performance grabbed the audiences’ attention.
She walked the Red Carpet on the premiere of Still Alice at the Hamptons Film Festival where she adorned a loose fitting black Balenciaga top with long flowing sleeves.
She accessorized the outfit with a black clutch and gator skin shoes. She looked stunning while she took a Q&A panel with Wash Westmoreland, Christine Vachon and executive director of HIFF Anne Chaisson. The film was received well.
Tthe Museum of the Moving Image announced to honor the actress at its 29th annual Salute on 20th January at 583 Park Ave. in New York. It was announced by Herbert S. Schlosser and Ivan Lustig, co-chairmen of the Museum’s Board of Trustees.
She received the best actress award in the Sundance Film Festival for the Maps of the Stars. Following all the laurels and the awards, it wouldn’t be wrong to anticipate that Julianne is the next best contender to win an Oscar in 2015 for her performance in Still Alice.
It has been long due that the title should come her way. maybe she would finally receive the much deserved award for what is being called the ‘best performance of her life.’

Following these successful performances, she is due to appear in the third installment of the Hunger Games series, Mocking Jay, Part. 1, as President Coin.
