The star broke the news in an interview with People magazine. "Alec and I are beyond excited to be adding to our family and can't wait for Elliotte to be the best big sister ever (no pressure!)," said Sokoloff.
The actress seems to have scheduled her pregnancy so well because it has come just after the conclusion of her popular show dubbed The Fosters. This is probably due to the fact she may not have managed to continue with the show because we all know that carrying a kid for nine months is not a walk in the park.
The couple is in deed counting its blessings one by one. As a matter of fact, Sokoloff and Puro will be commemorating their wedding anniversary in a months time. A new bundle of joy is definitely an amazing present to a couple that is celebrating its union.
The actress has always maintained that she wants to have many kids. The star recently shared her ambition of having a big family in People Blog. The blog features stories of kids whose parents are in the limelight such as actresses, footballers and athletes among other celebrities.
Sokoloff was quoted back in March this year saying that she was thinking of adding a new member into her family. "Obviously Alec and I want to have another child and talk about adding to our family all of the time," Sokoloff explained. "I just think I maybe need another birthday to pass before we start the real-deal discussion."
The actress first became a mom in February 2010 following the birth of their first daughter. Sokoloff was still in high spirits despite the fact that their new bundle of joy had developed some complications in the lungs. The star actually kept on updating her fans about the developments that were taking place from the beginning to the end.

Sokoloff pointed out that she has not experienced any complications except for the usual reactions that occur when a lady is expectant. "Yes, there were weeks that seemed endless and yes, I'm currently complaining about my feet swelling up like balloons and the general discomfort that comes with the end of pregnancy—but all in all the journey has been one that I will never forget," said Sokoloff. The star has featured in many films including The Practice, Dude, Where's My Car?, Sugar & Spice, and Whatever It Takes.
