Seth Rogen Picked for Steve Wozniak Role in Steve Jobs Film

Seth Rogen is coming to the big screens again. This time round he will pose as Apple's co-founder, Steve Wozniak in Steve Jobs film. Wrap has reported that Rogen will work alongside Christian Bale. Jessica Chastain will be in the set though she has not yet been assigned any character.

The film's script will be provided by Aaron Sorkin. The writer based his script on Steve Jobs biography after obtaining a license from Walter Isaacson. The film is actually far from being traditional biopic. Cameras will start rolling under the directorship of Danny Boyle.

The film will highlight on the innovations of Jobs and the struggles that he went through, right from the time he created the first Macintosh back in 1984 to the most recent innovation of Apple in 2001. Though Rogen is yet to secure his new role, negotiations are said to be underway.

Steve Wozniak is the mastermind behind the creation of Apple I computer and later helped in putting together Apple II computer in mid 70s. The film will be produced by three partners : Scott Rudin, Mark Gordon and Guymon Casady.

Rogen has been viewed by many as a perfect match. This is probably because he featured in Take This Waltz. The actor also starred in 50/50 and so he is one of the talents that are needed to take the film to the Oscars.

Any film fanatic will tell you that having Rogen and Christian in the same set will give you similar results when Leonardo DiCaprio features in the same set with Jonah Hill in The Wolf of The Wallstreet. Rogen has actually finished filming for The Interview which is set to premier on Christmas. The film brought him closer to his former cast members in 50/50 that includes the likes of Joseph Gordon-Levitt and director Jonathan Levine.

Fingers have to be kept crossed because Chastain does not yet have a character in mind. However, media reports indicate she will be on the set come rain or sunshine. The actress did an amazing job when she starred in Zero Dark Thirty. The actress has the backing of Amy Pascal who is in charge of the production studio. Chastain has two films in the pipeline, Intersteller and A Most Violent Year.
