According to Dailymail, City did not expect such a cold welcome from their host because feeding the visiting team is something common in the sporting arena.
Feeding after a match is highly valued by the playing teams because it helps their players to compensate for the energy that they have used running about the field. The flaws between City and CSAK are far fetched.
It is only during a match in the recently ended season that City alleged that CSAK fans had hurled racial insults towards Yaya Toure.
UEFA reacted to allegations of racial insults by banning CSAK from playing in the presence of their fans. As a matter of fact, the two teams clashed last month without any fans being present.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw. However, Manchester were not content with UEFA's decision because they argued that some fans still managed to get their way into the stadium by using sponsor tickets that were easily obtained in the black market.
In this age and era, soccer teams are pampered with heavy snacks such as pizza, doughnuts and pasta after the game because besides boosting energy levels, the eateries sustain players during long duration plane flights on their way back home. CSAK opted to keep it simple by only availing some fruits that made City players feel like they were still on empty stomachs.
Manchester are set to clash again with CSAK on Wednesday. However, there is no doubt they will not use that chance to get even with them stomachwise. City will definitely aim for victory because any defeat would leave them out of the best eight category.
CSAK executives did not face racial allegations lying down. Some of its executives are said to have showed up in informal outfits probably to express their concerns with City's allegations. According to a reliable source, they were actually seen wearing trainers, jeans and T-shirts instead of formal shirts and ties.
City officials seem to be reading the writing on the wall. This is because majority of them have been avoiding the field every time a clash has been scheduled between City and CSAK.
In fact, it is only Txiki Begiristain who was present during their last month's clash. Ambassador Mike Summerbee was also present.
