Derek De Armond is not the first person in line for Black Friday 2014 sales, but he has the coolest tent.
The first Black Friday 2014 line started on November 5 at a Best Buy store in Beaumont, Texas. Two women set up camp very, very early to get their hands on the $199.99 50-inch Panasonic TV doorbuster deal. Somebody should tell them that Amazon is matching the $199 50-inch TV deal in the Amazon Black Friday deals week.

Now another Black Friday shopper makes headlines for lining up at a Best Buy. He even got the attention of the New York Times. 55-year-old Derek De Armond set up camp at a Best Buy in Fort Myers, Fla. He did not just come with a little tent. He set up a luxury camp including air-conditioning, a screened porch, a hammock, a 42-inch TV, a tiki bar and a decorated Christmas tree.
Mr. Armond compares lining up for Black Friday to a tailgate party at a football game. He even will have Thanksgiving turkey dinner at his Black Friday camp with his family.
This Black Friday fan is also not just doing it for saving money. He just likes Black Friday. He also plans to donate the $199.99 50-inch Panasonic TV to a local children’s hospital for a fund-raising raffle. The Black Friday spirit lives on despite month long Black Friday sales.
