Bestbuy.com was down this morning for about an hour. Best Buy has now issued a statement revealing the cause.
Yesterday Walmart.com suffered outages during the Black Friday sale on Thanksgiving Day. Today BestBy.com was the victim. Best Buy was pro active. The admins just shut down the site and displayed a we are sorry message.

Now Best Buy has issued a statement explaining what happened: "A concentrated spike in mobile traffic triggered issues that led us to shut down BestBuy.com in order to take proactive measures to restore full performance. Our consumers can return to BestBuy.com in the next several hours to take advantage of today’s door busters."

New Best Buy Black Friday 2014 Deals Nov. 28
More than 1,000 Best Buy stores in 47 states will opened at 5pm local time on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27. Nearly all stores will remain open until 1am local time on Friday. Best Buy Stores will reopen at 8am local time on Nov. 28 and close at 10pm that day. Best Buy will hand out tickets up to 2 hours before the store opening on Thanksgiving Day and tickets will be handed out up to 1 hour before the stores open on Black Friday.
