Victoria looked effortlessly stunning in a silk and wool gown; her own design of course and pulled it off with beautiful blue earrings while David donned on a navy blue tux complete with a bow tie. The couple held hands throughout the ceremony as they posed in front of the cameras on the red carpet and during the event where they posed with various people.
The surprising factor behind their attendance is their recovery from a near-death tragedy on Saturday. David and his oldest son, Brooklyn missed a fatal car accident by inches. David was picking up Brooklyn after a football practice at Hertfordshire.
Junior Beckham made the under-16 team of Arsenal after impressing the coaches at The Emirates. David and Brooklyn were backing the car when another car crashed into it. Luckily the football star and son came out unharmed and their faces are still intact so ladies…don’t worry.
The Arsenal authorities cleared out the scene quickly to avoid the media drama and crowds gathering. David and Brooklyn were driven away in another car because their car was unusable. The passengers in the other car involved in the accident were also unharmed and we can thank the car companies for making them accident safe.
The shock however did not stay for long. David and Victoria looked strong and resilient as a couple and as parents. They have a lot to be thankful for and they did not disappoint their fans by appearing to attend the event.
Victoria stuck close to his side as she and David greeted their friends among the crowd including Burberry CEO, Christopher Bailey who David has a contract with and Anna Wintour; Vogue magazine editor. Anna promotes Victoria’s fashion line and attends all her runway events.
The attending list for the event included actors, fashion protagonists and other socialites like Sir Ian McKellan, Dame Helen Mirren, Steve Coogan, Gillian Anderson, Carry Mulligan, James McAvoy, Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch and fiancé, Billie Piper and husband Laurence Fox, Helen McCrory, Kim Catrall, Mark Strong, Idris Elba, Sienna Miller and more.
The event was full of glamour and style and the Beckhams definitely added to it. Other than that Victoria also posted pictures on Instagram supporting AIDS Day around the world. She looked like a woman on a mission. Her pictures included models wearing plain white Ts with the iconic AIDS symbol across them.
