FBI will help Sony Pictures as Hackers Leak Sylvester Stallone, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Daniel Craig, Natalie Portman and Other Celebs

Hackers have released private information of many Hollywood celebrities.

Due to a recent cyber-attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment, it will host cyber security meetings with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) this week. Sony Entertainment CEO Michael Lynton recently said a note to the Sony staff explaining that the studio is working with the law enforcement agencies on their investigation into the recent cyber-attack which has damaged the company by leaking internal documents, film budgets, personal information of thousands of employees and much more.

Guardians of Peace’ is the hacking group which took responsibility for carrying out this attack. The hacking group had posted a message online that has warned Sony not to show the movie of terrorism which could negatively affect the regional peace.

This movie is said to be ‘The Interview’, a comedy movie which shows an assassination attempt on the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un. Rumors have it that North Korea is behind this cyber-attack.

Now recently the hackers have released personal details of Hollywood actors and Sylvester Stallone had to face the wrath of the hackers this time. The actor’s social security number and other personal information have been released.

The Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson was also under attack by the hackers. They have alos leaked contact details of Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks along with details of the aliases used by Hollywood stars when they travel.

Daniel Craig, Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire and Sarah Michelle Gellar also came under the radar of the hackers and their information was also made available for the public. 

The cyber-attack has been blamed on North Korea but North Korean officials have denied these accusations. However North Korea has declared previously that ‘The Interview’ will be seen as an act of terrorism.

The movie ‘The Interview’ is said to be released on Christmas and Sony has stated that the movie will be released on the due date. The comedy movie stars Seth Rogen and James Franco as TV journalists recruited by the CIA to assassinate Kim Jong-Un. 

The latest message by the hackers threatens Amy Pascal, head of the studio’s film business and Steve Mosko as the next targets. Due to this cyber-attack shares of Sony Corp. fell by 4 percent to 2486 yen.

The Tokyo based company has also revealed that they fell by 3.3 percent as the users of their gaming console Play Station experienced difficulty connecting to the Internet. 

The message by Sony’s CEO to the staff also mentioned that the senior executives will brief the employees directly about the investigation while the FBI staff will be present on December 10th to explain cyber security awareness to the employees.

According to the leaked reports ‘The Interview’ cost $44 million to produce and it is expected that the movie might get a boost at the box office due to this whole scenario. Let’s see what happens once the movie is released.
