The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) has announced today that MaiTai Global Inc. will be holding the semi-finals of the Extreme Tech Challenge at their electronics event the CES 2015. This challenge brings together targeted resources and world class advisors to help high energy entrepreneurs execute their ideas. The CES is owned and controlled by CEA and will be held in Las Vegas from the 6th to the 9th of January.

The Extreme Tech Challenge semi-finals are scheduled to take place from 2-3:30 PM Thursday 8th at the Venetian. The top 10 semi-finalists will be invited to the event and asked to present to the Extreme Tech Challenge Judges Circle.
The event is going to be broadcasted live and three finalists will be selected and invited to the finals. The finals will be held on Necker Island on February 6th with Sir Richard Branson as the special guest judge. Branson stated that he was very happy and excited to be the judge of such a competition that encourages people to push themselves to the limit.
Karen Chupka the senior vice president of International CES and corporate business strategy of CEA stated that the CES is very excited and looking forward to such a global competition that is focused on supporting entrepreneurs. She said that this will be a great boost to the already world famous CES. Karen explained that adding this competition to the event shows the commitment that we have to make this event more successful.
The co-founder of MaiTai Global/XTC Bill Tai stated that the CES is the best event to showcase their Top 10 finalists. He explained that these innovative companies have been picked from a pool of 1800 applicants and the quality of their products is very high and the CES is the best place to give the products the recognition they need.
The Extreme Tech Challenge has been developed to provide exposure, capital and the expertise to accelerate the development of products by giving them free infrastructure and other start-up boosters from world renowned vendors. The final is going to be held at Necker Island in February.
The semi-finalists and finalists are given startup assistance which includes access to funding, free infrastructure and free investment banking consultation and even legal and tax advice.
The International CES is the largest platform for those businesses that thrive on consumer technology. It has been providing the ground for innovators for more than 40 years. The 2015 CES is going to host 3500 exhibitors from the 6th to the 9th of January in Las Vegas, Nevada.
