Much like the previous, executive F1 this new model is a height adjustable desk which will be driven by software that will sense the user’s presence. It will also learn and adapt to the user’s preferences which will let them set goals and also will remind the users to change their positions while they work.
From today the new M1 and F1 will start featuring an entirely new, custom designed electronics that will provide the users a faster and richer experience. The latest processor used by Stir in this new model is 4 times faster than the previous one along with increasing the storage capacity as well.
Stir has also added a 5 inch LCD touchscreen and has enhanced its resolution with a 360 degree field of view. Plus the new screen will also have increased brightness and an anti-glare film which has been specifically designed to make the screen much easier to read in any office environment. The desk will also be equipped with a Single Board Computer (SBC) along with a removable electronics enclosure which makes the desk upgradeable in the field.
These Stir Kinetic Desks are very easy and simple to use. The heights can be adjusted with just a simple double tap on the embedded touchscreen. Plus the desk will also be equipped with Stir’s signature Whisperbreath TM function which is basically a 1 inch rise and fall of the desk surface.
JP Labrosse the CEO and founder of Stir stated that the response that Stir’s Kinetic Desks receive from the users has been amazing. He also revealed that the company had received many requests to release a Stir Kinetic Desk in a form factor that would fit into even the largest office installations. Labrosse also explained that the company has done everything to make these products so efficient by collecting tons of customer feedback and spent nearly a whole year perfecting the M1.
The new Stir Kinetic Desk M1 will come along with a cloud-based architecture. Now what will be the benefit of this to the users? Well this cloud based architecture will allow for transferable user data that can move along with workers as they move between desks within a company network or even around the world.
It will be helped by low-energy Bluetooth devices such as Fitbit. Moreover the desk also recognizes and identifies accurately one user from another. This makes it effortless for users to be logged in and out of any Stir Kinetic Desk.
All the consumers will be happy to hear that this advanced cloud architecture that has been added to the Stir M1 desk will pave the way for more integrations and features in the near future with Android and iOS compatibility, which by the way is in development.
