Ben Woolf the 4ft 4 inch tall actor who portrayed ‘Meep’ on the series ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ passed away due to a head injury.
Ben Woolf the actor who played the role of ‘Meep’ in the series ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ has died due to an injury from last week. The 34 year old actor sustained a head injury on Thursday evening.
Wool hit his head on the side mirror of an incoming car while crossing a street in Hollywood. After the accident Woolf was admitted in the Cedars Sinai hospital and remained in a critical condition for days. Woolf ultimately had a stroke and passed away due to the severity of his injuries.
Woolf was apparently jaywalking so the driver involved in the accident had no warning of his presence. The police did not ticket the driver as it was not even a hit and run, as the driver remained on the scene throughout the ordeal. According to the LAPD ‘No crime was committed’.
Although saddened by Woolf’s death his family has expressed their gratitude at receiving an outpouring of love and support from around the world. In a statement Woolf’s family told TMZ that they have been overwhelmed by love for their Ben as in his 34 years he touched numerous hearts and his memory will always stay alive in his work and each of his family members.
Woolf’s agent expressed his feelings by proclaiming Ben was one of a kind and he will forever remember their time together.
The producers of American Horror Story released in a statement they are saddened by the tragic death of Woolf and praised his professionalism while citing him as a very kind person who was a beloved part of their show’s family. The producers further expressed their condolences to Woolf’s family, friends and fans.
