Samsung Group Believes Galaxy S6 will outsell Galaxy S4

Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on Sunday at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Samsung thinks its has a winning smartphone on their hands.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will go on sale on April 10; the company has been pressured by Apple in the last quarter. Apple is now matching Samsung smartphone sales. The Galaxy S5 has not proven to be a huge hit with consumers. The Galaxy S5 did not even outsell the very successful Samsung Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S6 is expected to get Samsung to the top again. As Apple does not have a new device out in the 2nd quarter, Samsung has a good chance to come out on top.

Internally, Samsung has a different goal. The Galaxy S6 is expected to beat the sales of the Galaxy S4. According to Digitimes, Andy Tu, General Manager of Samsung's mobile communication business in Taiwan, expects sales to outperform the Galaxy S4.

The Galaxy S6 comes with two features iPhones are criticized for: none removable battery and no memory card slot. The Galaxy S5 has a removable battery and expandable storage. Apparently Samsung thinks these two features are not big sales drivers. The Galaxy S6 come with advanced new features like built-in wireless charging and the S6 Edge has a double curved screen offering two additional glance screens.

The design of the Galaxy S6 is very clean and stylish. It is the best-looking Galaxy so far. Samsung did everything to make the Galaxy S6 compete against the iPhone 6.
