Apple will be talking about the Apple Watch during Spring Forward event, but some reports claim that it will also unveil a much-awaited Retina Macbook Air.

Apple has recently updated all of its Mac lineup with the Retina Display sans Macbook Air, which is stuck with the old pixelated display. We have already heard Apple coming up with a 12 inch Retina Display Macbook Air several times and now Themichaelreport claims that it will be announced during Apple’s Spring Forward Event scheduled on March 9. The Event is more likely to talk about the Apple Watch and it will be interesting to see Apple announcing a new Macbook at this time of the year.

Apple analysts including KGI Securities’ Ming-Chi Kuo confirmed the Retina Display Macbook Air several months ago, and it seems that the wait is finally over. The report from Themichaelreport states, “Many are expecting Apple talk more about the Apple Watch. However, sources familiar with the matter within Apple have exclusively told The Michael Report that Apple plans to unveil the long-awaited Retina MacBook Air at the same event. The Michael Report has independently verified this information to be highly credible.”

The last time that Apple updated the Macbook Air was in April, and according to some rumors, 11 and 13 inches Macbook Air models could also be updated with the Core M Broadwell chips. The 12-inch Retina Display Macbook Air is said to come with a fan-less assembly due to the Core M chips, and will feature smaller bezels along with a revamped trackpad.

The trackpad will not feature any mechanical buttons and the speakers will be placed above the keyboard. Retina Macbook Air is codenamed “MacBook Stealth” and we will see a modest price cut, too. Talking about the credibility of the Themichaelreport, it predicted some info about the iPad Air 2 correctly while its claims about iPhone 6 featuring quad-core processor and sapphire display were highly based on assumptions.
