Apple's secret lab gives companies access to the Apple Watch

Those entering the premises are not allowed to bring any outside materials

While we are all just drooling over some leaked tits and bits about the upcoming Apple Watch, some lucky companies have been given early access to the much awaited smartwatch. However, this is being done as a top secret mission which has been taking place inside a secret lab cut off from the outside world. Those entering Apple’s secret lab are not allowed to bring even a notepad what to talk of a phone. These lucky ones include Bayerische Motoren Werke AG, Facebook Inc., United Continental Holdings Inc. and some others.

As reported by Bloomberg, these companies had joined hands with Apple at the Cupertino headquarters in California for the development of the smartwatch in order to test and further tune the applications which will debut as the smartwatch launches. This information has been confirmed by inside sources who unfortunately cannot be named under the NDAs.

For now, all eyes are set on the March 9th event when Apple is expected to reveal more details on the Apple Watch. The fruit giant has taken considerable measures to ensure that the developments surrounding the gadget are not leaked to the outside world prior to the right time. According to sources, the rooms don’t have any internet access and no materials can be brought inside. The above mentioned companies have been required to bring in source code for their apps on a computer hard drive which then cannot leave the premises. The codes are being stored by apple itself and then being sent out to the concerned companies.

Stephen Gates, vice president and creative director for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc., has been involved in the process too as the company is designing an app which will unlock hotel-room doors. According to him, "There's a lot of confidentiality.”

The last time Apple introduced its new product was back in 2010 with the first iPad and now after five years it is bringing in the Apple Watch is definitely being welcomed amid high stakes. And this is why the importance of good and sophisticated apps cannot be ignored.
