The legendary actor talked about his biggest commercial success as a director "American Sniper" and also responded to the questions about Michael Moore
Clint Eastwood was invited on a CinemaCon event in Las Vegas where he shared his thoughts on different aspects of his professional life, his long and varied acting career, his latest directorial venture “American Sniper” and his feud with outspoken critic Michael Moore. Clint Eastwood who has been accused of threatening Michael Moore for criticizing “American Sniper” denied the accusations altogether.

Everyone is saying I threatened to kill Michael Moore – that’s not true … but it’s not a bad idea.” Clint Eastwood joked and got big laugh from the crowd. “Once years ago somebody asked me what would I do if a guy like (Moore) came to my and started filming like they did with Charlton Heston ... and I thought, well if he’s on your property, I guess you can shoot him.”
Clint Eastwood told Hollywood Reporter. “He was just expressing his opinion. I’m all for everyone, whatever people’s attitude are. That’s what great about this country – you can think about it anyway you want. No one has to agree with you.”
Talking about the last film he saw in the theater, Eastwood told that “Grand Budapest Hotel” was the last film he had paid to see in the theater and is looking forward to see his son Scott Eastwood’s film “The Longest Ride” in the theater too. He called film “Sergeant York” responsible for changing his formative years. Eastwood also revealed that he will he will never go back and remake any of his older films.
When asked which of his own film he loved the most, Eastwood mentioned that Unforgiven, Million Dollar Baby and The Outlaw Josey are the films most loved by him.
Clint Eastwood also answered couple of questions related to his recently released film “American Sniper”. “American Sniper” was the biggest commercial success of the Clint Eastwood’s career as director. The film has earned $347.8 million domestically and $541.2 million globally to date, making it the most successful l war film of all time.

When asked about the reason of the success of “American Sniper, Eastwood said that film was on a topic which is in discussion quite a bit. “ I think that for a lot of Americans, there’s been a lot of news in the last year about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and everybody has opinions on it. Some of us think it’s a great idea and some of us don’t think it’s a great idea. There are a lot of questions and that is fun to broach.”
