Dr. Phil raised eyebrows for his ‘What’s the Point?’ comment on Bruce Jenner’s gender transition!
Dr. Phil recently appeared on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night. Dr. Phil replied he would not be upset as the doctor would have probably spent the majority of the time on the interview asking Bruce Jenner what’s the point?!

Dr. Phil McGraw explained it would be boring to talk to him as he would first off tell the former Olympian he should do what he wants to do and not think about what anyone else thinks. This part of the conversation would comprise of only 30 seconds then Dr. Phil would spend the next hour and fifty nine minutes asking Jenner ‘what’s the point’?
Dr. Phil would tell the 65 year old Bruce Jenner you’re almost 80 years old what the point in carrying out a transition now! Dr. Phil explained Jenner his past his prime and asking the question is a theoretical exercise… right?
"It would be boring to talk to me about that," he told Kimmel. "I ... would just say, 'Look, if it's what you want to do, do it. I mean, what the hell does it matter what anybody else thinks?'
"That'd be the first 30 seconds, and then I guess we'd spend the next hour and 59 minutes saying, 'You're almost 80, what's the point? This is a theoretical exercise, right?' I mean, he's kind of, like past his prime, right?"
However the TV doctor came under fire for citing Bruce Jenner’s transition was pointless at such an age. Dr. Phil had to release a statement to clarify his remark as a result, in which he stated he has known Jenner for a while and they are roughly of the same age.
Dr. Phil claimed he has always been an advocate of life change and is personally cheering Jenner on to live his life the way he wants. According to Dr. Phil it is Bruce Jenner’s own life and body which gives him the power to make any decision.
"Bruce and I have known each other casually for a while and we're around the same age," McGraw tells PEOPLE in a statement.
"I've said long and loud it's never too late to make a life change, and I'm personally cheering him on," he says. "I'm glad he's decided to set himself free in order to live his life authentically. It's his life and his body and his decision – more power to him."
