The singer is said to be one of the main causes of Dunham's latest fitness routine.
Did Taylor Swift tell Lena Dunham that she was too fat? Well, according to the print edition of Star Magazine, she might have said it in not some many words. Lena and Taylor have been gal pals for well over a year now, and one can't help but notice that Lena does not quite fit into the "look" that Taylor's typical girlfriend has. Taylor has actresses, singers, and Victoria's Secret models in her friendship circle, so there is no doubt that there is some competition between the girls to look the best. Some have been talking about Taylor's extreme weight loss, questioning whether or not the leggy singer is too thin. Surely, Lena herself noticed that she looked quite different from everyone else and mentioned it to Taylor quite a few times.

“Lena has really confided in Taylor about her insecurities,” says an unnamed pal. “And Taylor was sympathetic at first but finally got tired of Lena’s constant pity party and told her that if she was so unhappy with her weight, she needed to get a trainer and do something to make a change!”
So it seems like the urge to lose weight and look better wasn't on Taylor, but actually came from Lena herself.
For her part, Lena has been working out more and showing the world that while it is okay to celebrate every body shape, exercising has other benefits as well. She has posted on Instagram that exercise is helping her stay positive and actually controlling her depression and anxiety. It is unsure whether that is a reality, or she is just trying to save her reputation of being completely uninterested in the trappings of Hollywood.

Promised myself I would not let exercise be the first thing to go by the wayside when I got busy with Girls Season 5 and here is why: it has helped with my anxiety in ways I never dreamed possible. To those struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression: I know it's mad annoying when people tell you to exercise, and it took me about 16 medicated years to listen. I'm glad I did. It ain't about the ass, it's about the brain. Thank you @tracyandersonmethod for showing me the light (and @bandierfit is where I bought my Florida mom inspired workout look.) #notsponsored #stillmedicated
