Looks like Carrie would be working in Germany from now onwards. Previously the show was shot in the Middle East but now it will move to Europe.

We then saw that the US soldier converted to Islam and he decides to take down the American officials. He becomes a senator and then becomes really close with the US officials. The show has been running for four successful years now but now it seems that the show is pulling out of Middle East and heading towards Germany.
Showtime confirmed the news that the show will be shot in Germany. And according to network, Homeland will be the first American series that will shoot an entire season in Germany. The new season of the show will filmed at the Studio Babelsberg in Berlin.
The new season will pick-up two years after Carrie Mathison’s ill-fated tenure at Islamabad station chief. Carrie has been struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment for years now. She will find herself in self-imposed exile in Berlin.
We will see that she has nothing to do with the CIA and that she is now working for a private security firm. Last season Showtime came under heavy fire after its Middle East-set storyline made a lot of countries question them.
David Nevins who is the president at Showtime said that the show will avoid Muslim extremist storyline this year, according to EW. He said that they were not going to focus forever on the US and the Muslim world relation.

He said that this show is about US foreign policy. This show is also there to show us the US intelligence in this hard time. He said that they were going to change the show up a little and this is why they have decided to move to Germany to make the new season.
