FOX renewed ‘The Simpsons’ for a 27th and 28th season.
The network FOX recently announced its decision to renew the long running animated series ‘The Simpsons’ for a 27th and a 28th season. The total number of episode will now reach a whopping number of 625 after the two new seasons.

‘The Simpsons’ is already the longest running television show in history which began in 1990. ‘The Simpsons’ has since turned into a cultural phenomenon as one of the most innovative franchises ever thought the world.
Currently ‘The Simpsons’ is airing its 26th episode and has won about 31 Emmy Awards and an Academy Award nomination in 2012 for the theatrical short ‘The Longest Daycare’.
Other awards received by ‘The Simpsons’ include a Peabody Award, a 2015 People's Choice Award and also 31 Annie Awards. The show was also honored on The Hollywood Walk of Fame with a star in 2000 and the Times magazine named it the ‘Best Show of the 20th Century’.
‘The Simpsons’ is undeniably one of the greatest American sitcoms ever which follows the lives of Homes Simpson and his family in the fictional town of Springfield. A feature movie was also released on the Simpsons saga which turned into a multimillion earner.
The announcement of the new seasons has come just in time so there will be no delay in the airing of the next season. The deal specifies the next two seasons will consist of 22 episodes and will debut at the same time as the previous seasons in the year.
The next episode of the series will air on the 10th of May and is entitled ‘Bull-E’. The episode will encounter how Marge convinces the town in passing an anti-bullying bill but Homes is arrested as a result of the bill and sent to rehab.
