Dancing With the Stars has deleted Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough from its 20th season semifinals. The dancing couple won’t be prancing about on stage when the show airs on television a week from now.
DWTS favorite contestants tried and they nearly made it. The fact that ever loser wins cannot be epitomized any better than in the form of Derek Hough and Nastia Liukin. The two were slated to have scored a top notch result and were headed for the #1 spot when things went desperately wrong. The female Olympian and mirror ball champ were outvoted barely seven days from the date of the finale.

Nastia Liukin had done quite well up until now. She had gotten perfect 10s and been on cloud nine as far as her inner confidence and outer poise were concerned. Nastia had sashayed with Farber while Hough had been in his rehabilitation phase due to an injury incurred while practicing. Her fast movements with Farber and waltzing with Hough showed her to be a very competent dancer that knew what she was doing with acumen.
When the two came to know about the fact that they were being ejected from the show’s roster, they grabbed each other for a parting bear hug. It was the sweetest moment. Liukin said a few words to Tom Bergeron.
She said that although she would have preferred to have made it to the finale, the dance she engaged in with Derek Hough was almost like magical realism at its best. It was a lovely experience and one she would never forget.
"I definitely wanted to make it to the finale, especially because last night was so great to be able to dance with Derek again, but, you know I kind of thought last night was a magical night," Nastia Liukin told ABC News. "To be able to finish my experience with that dance meant a lot."

Now that is the spirit! Winning or losing doesn’t matter, it is how you play the game. The elimination criteria are ultimately dependent on the judge’s remarks and the collective votes of each candidate.
Among the hopefuls who made it into the finale may be included: Rumer Willis, Noah Galloway and Riker Lynch. The upcoming Monday is the big day for these three. They will get to strut their stuff at the fated hour.

Galloway has shown iron determination despite being partially handicapped. Willis is an expert in her field and reveals class and elegance in her every action. Lynch meanwhile has tons of confidence and an uncanny ability to stylishly blend his body gyrations with the rhyme and rhythm of the background music. The three will take part in the battle for the peak point a few days from now. May the best man or woman win!
